A late Georgian six-row natural/seed pearl and diamond collar necklace, to the centre an old-mine-cut diamond estimated to weigh 0.7 carats surrounded by three homocentric clusters set with fifty smaller old-mine cut diamonds, strung from six rows of uniform natural pearls, with two diamond-set spacers and a diamond-set clasp, encrusted with forty-one small old mine and old European-cut diamonds, all diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 6.2 carats, set in silver to a gold back, circa 1790, measuring approximately 33cm long, gross weight 32.6 grammes.

This remarkable Georgian pearl and diamond necklace comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This necklace features six rows of lustrous natural pearls that meet in the centre at a magnificent diamond plaque. The centre plaque features a central diamond surrounded by a further fifty lively and scintillating diamonds. This enchanting necklace recalls the ornate splendour of the late Georgian period.
